01Features

What makes the difference.

With no machine room, YZER frees up space, simplifies the hoistway layout and the building’s skyline, and cuts construction cost and time. According to Hyundai, it was Korea’s first machine-room-less elevator.

  1. Less footprint, more usable area

No machine room to build, minimal hoistway and pit: the top-side suspension arrangement allows a pit depth of just 1,200 mm.

  2. Lubrication-free traction

The high-efficiency traction machine needs no bearing lubrication: less upkeep and lower running costs.

  3. Smart indicator (option)

An LCD display showing date, time, floor and security information, with ionising air purification and ultrasonic pest protection.

08Planning

Preparing the installation.

The points to settle with the architect and the engineers before pricing.

  1. 01

    Hoistway and pit

Hoistway size, pit depth and headroom depend on the chosen model, load and speed. We set them together at the outline design stage.

  2. 02

    Machine room or not

With a machine room (MR) or without (MRL): the choice frees a rooftop room or not. It is made with the architect, at the site-plan stage.

  3. 03

    Traffic and waiting time

The number of cars, their capacity and speed follow from the occupants and uses of each floor. A traffic study confirms it.
